The 3466 Model C01 Network Storage Manager is powered by your choice of a 2- or 4-way RISC processor. Memory is scalable from 1 GB to 4 GB and SSA disk cache options range from 72 GB to 864 GB uncompressed (or 144 GB to 1.7 TB at 2:1 compression). There is support for IBM's state-of-the-art tape libraries, the IBM 3575 Magstar MP Tape Library and the IBM 3494 Magstar Tape Library, the IBM 3583 Ultrium* Scalable Tape Library, and the IBM 3584 UltraScalable Tape Library.

The fibre capability allows library connectivity through your SAN Data Gateway (SDG) as well as library sharing, and other SAN functions.

The specialized server approach of the 3466 Model C01 Network Storage Manager supports your enterprise with more than 30 different client and workstation platform types attached to your network via Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, and Token Ring connections.
