We realise that each organisation will have its specific situation this is why we stock a large number of tape drive products and advise what would be the best solution to suit your requirements Some of our tape repair customers do not like to have down time when they send a tape drive in for repair. Therefore we can supply a rental drive whilst their tape drive is being repaired. The benefits: Capital - Why tie up valuable working capital when you can improve the liquidity of your company and invest in resources more important to both growth and security. Flexibility - Changing technology within the computer industry renders equipment obsolete very quickly, rental removes those long term restrictions of upgrading and more importantly maintains a healthy bottom line from a company profitability point of view. Budgeting - Rental payments are not affected by changes in interest rates, enabling you to plan with accuracy. Tax efficient - Rental payments can be deducted from taxable profits, reducing the net cost. Depreciation - Eliminate high diminution of computer assets. Our Tape drive rental program is not a rent to own program. If you decide after a few days or weeks that you want to buy the tape drive, you can, but we will charge you the full purchase price plus the weekly rental charge(s). We have this policy as some of our customers end up keeping rentals too long and then they decide it would be cheaper to buy the tape drive. Which Tape drives are included in the program? We rent you refurbished tape drives directly from our inventory. So please be specific about the unit you are renting. For example is the unit internal or external (mounted in a case)? Which model do you need? Which manufacturer? Is it 3.5" or 5 1/4" mounting-on internal units? Technologies Available for Rental: 4mm DAT from DDS-1 to DDS-4, 8mm Exabyte, 8mm Ecrix, AIT-1, AIT-2, DLT 2000XT, DLT4000, DLT7000, DLT8000, Quantum DLT4500 and DLT4700 libraries, ATL libraries, Plasmon MO and CD/DVD Juke box’s and libraries. Tape drive rental periods can be from as little as 1-2 days to a week to as much as a monthly and quarterly basis. This gives you the flexibility to cover yourself on a short-term basis, during an upgrade or new internal system trials or on a longer lease where you are waiting to implement new technology and therefore need an immediate solution but over a longer period of time.
