PLUG COMPATIBLE with existing SCSI Systems
The SEC is a cost-effective, rack mount expansion chassis,
supporting 4 removable or fixed 3.5" SCSI disk, tape,
or cartridge drives. The SEC supports all current 3.5"
SCSI-1 or SCSI-2 disk systems with either 50-pin or 68-pin
connectors as well as single ended or differential, and LVD
SCSI devices. SEC chassis can be daisy-chained to support
additional drives.
RAID STORAGE AVAILABLE
The SEC can be provided as a self-contained RAID SCSI system.
RAID 3 or RAID 5 are commonly used. Proprietary RAID approaches
are available for special applications. For large amounts
of critical data, storage and archival backup systems are
available as a custom solution.
MANY CONFIGURATIONS AVAILABLE
The SEC is a modular system and is available with numerous
configurations to suit most applications. Rack mount, table
top, and custom mounting configurations are available. A variety
of drive canisters are available to match existing systems.
UPGRADE 5-1/4" SCSI SYSTEMS
Many host controllers are capable of supporting data transfer
rates and capacities in excess of those offered by the out-of-production
5.25" disks. The SEC allows the system to take advantage
of the higher speeds, greater capacity, and increased reliability
offered by current, economical, 3.5" SCSI disk drives
and other SCSI devices.
