Project Engineer

The Reactive Group are currently looking for a hardware/firmware product project/design engineer (embedded processing).  That is, an experienced, digital electronic engineer with C, C++ and low level programming skills including hands on experience of FPGA/EPLD programming, and microcontroller/processor based design. The applicant must be capable of ground up product design and be experienced in briefing subcontractor and support staff. The individual selected will rapidly rise to a position of project responsibility, reporting from the outset to Reactive's Business Development Manager.

Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant subject and have at least 5 years experience in a related role. Linux and Motorola Coldfire experience would be a bonus, as would knowledge of both archaic and advanced data storage (and video) product/host interfaces at the hardware signal and command code level.

The position is based in Kingsclere , Hampshire, but the applicant will be required to travel to customer sites within the UK and to the USA and Western Europe for short periods. It follows that the successful applicant will be representing Reactive and will therefore have the related people skills to compliment technical ability.

The position is well suited to flexible and self motivated individuals who can maintain a primary project focus whilst meeting the demands of a small company environment. The position has been created in response to Reactive's success in winning a number of design and build contracts for blue chip UK defence companies. The successful applicant will therefore have the advantage of joining the company at the start of a new phase of growth and the opportunity to grow towards a technical management position.

If you think you've got what it takes to make it in a reactive, ever-changing environment, send your cv to us today.
